Band Store

The band store will be open on Tuesday August 18th.

Past show and championship shirts are available for $5.00. I will have them for the next 3 weeks. They will then be placed in storage.  They will still be available for purchase but turnaround time will be lengthy.  If interested in making purchases of the past shirts please do so now.

The Band Store needs volunteers throughout the marching season.  Show your Lafayette Spirit and volunteer to (a) pull the band store trailer to school or (b) volunteer to create merchandise displays or (c) help with sales!  If interested, please contact Stephanie Roney at or 859-519-0048.

Hot Week Ahead

This week is forecasted to be in the mid to upper 80’s. As much as we like talking with your student, when we see them at the blue (chaperone) building during practice it’s usually not a good thing. It usually means they are not feeling well. Last week we had more than a few come over during practice feeling ‘lighted headed’ and ‘nauseated’.  Without fail every student had missed lunch and had not been drinking enough water to keep them hydrated. A cup of water right before practice is really too late if the body is already on the verge of dehydration. The student should drink plenty of water at least 24 hours ahead of practice.

Please make sure your student eats a good breakfast and lunch each day and drinks plenty of water. If your student eats lunch early then pack a granola bar in their backpack for a quick after school snack.

If you have any questions you may contact Mike Booth at or 859-227-7985.

Discount Cards or Money Due Wednesday

Last day to turn in money & discount cards is Wednesday, August 19.

Tuesday, August 18 at 6:00pm
Wednesday, August 19 from 5:30-6:00pm
